Dr. Nicholas Ouellette has been proudly serving the local Nantucket community with professional, compassionate, evidence guided Chiropractic and rehabilitative care since washing ashore in 2015.
Following completion of his graduate studies in December 2013, he earned his doctorate from Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly New York Chiropractic College) in Seneca Falls, NY.
Falling in love with the island and its vibrant community, he decided to stay, purchasing Island Chiropractic from its previous owner and becoming a year-round Nantucket resident. In his spare time, Dr. Ouellette can be found surf casting, scalloping, hunting, playing paddle tennis, or zipping around the harbor in his Zodiac. He also holds board positions on the Nantucket Shellfish Association and The Landmark House.
Dr. Ouellette holds certification as a Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) from The University of Pittsburgh’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. As a PSP, Dr. Ouellette has satisfied rigorous requirements and completed extensive post-graduate training to diagnose and treat spine-related disorders through the delivery of collaborative, patient-centered, cost-effective, evidence-based care.
He combines this knowledge with his expertise as a certified office ergonomics evaluator to teach his patients how to thrive in their work and home environments.
